Life as We Know It

We are sitting here after Uptown, and listening to A play the guitar. Some guitar and the musical ambiance of four wannabe singers is all the is needed to have a good time. None of us sing well, by any means. With the exception of A on the guitar, our voices collectively equal Black Eyed Peas at the Super Bowl. So obviously, it is amazing.

What is needed for a good time though is a few good friends, some beer and half hazard singing. That is the recipe for a good night after the bars. We all come from different backgrounds and we all are headed to different places. But at this moment we are singing in the worst possible voices to songs we know half the lyrics to. We make no gestures to reconcile the shit we know, we only sing while we can the songs that come from our past. It brings us together in a way that only music can. It transcends time into a place of the forgotten, the time of our youth when music was what made us who we are.

A plays the guitar like a young Jimmy Hendrix and we sing like, well, the telatubbies. Yes, it sounds awesome.

Late nights, drunk people and the ability to enjoy life is what makes this place enjoyable. So love the one you got, cuz you might get run over or you might get shottttttt!!!!!
